The new building brings together various medical departments - from the operating room area and surgical wards to day clinics and outpatient clinics for ENT and ophthalmology - across approximately 10,500 m² of gross floor area. As such, the new Pavilion 6 stands as a symbol of modern healthcare infrastructure and future-oriented care in Austria.

Special construction challenges, such as the demolition of the old building, geothermal drilling with approximately 6,300 meters of probe length, excavation pit stabilization, and the connection to Pavilion 4, were successfully overcome. Hospital operations continued uninterrupted throughout the entire construction period.

Thanks to the cooperative and constructive partnership with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund, the hospital staff, the planning firms Hoppe & Partner and Maurer & Partner, the consulting advisors, and the contracting trades, the new building is scheduled for completion as early as summer 2027.
